Mother's Day Messages

Since this weekend was Mother's Day, there were a ton of messages on Facebook sites, etc. Here are some:

I will stop missing you when I am with you. (Love that one!)

This is from Erma Bombeck, whom I have always loved (funny writer):
On Mother's Day I can think of no mother more deserving than a mother that had to give one back.

There's one I saw this morning that I'm looking for-it made me cry. I just tracked it down and realized when I re-read the first line that it was intended for a mom who died. I will write it down anyway:

If roses grow in Heaven Lord
Please pick a bunch for me,
Place them in my mother's arms
and tell her they're from me.
Tell her I love and miss her
and when she turns to smile,
Place a kiss upon her cheek,
and hold her for a while.
Because remembering her is easy,
I do it every day,
But there is an ache within my heart
That will never go away.

(Personal note: I know your heart isn't aching because you can't feel pain in Heaven. Thank God for that!)
