Dear Hayden

I started this blog soon after the death of my beautiful 17-year-old son, Hayden, as a way to deal with my grief. I titled it "Dear Hayden" because at first I wrote as if I was writing to him. My use of the word "dear" ended up being twofold: "used as an affectionate or friendly form of address" and "regarded with deep affection; cherished by someone." Many posts are saved quotes, song lyrics, Bible verses, poems, etc. with credit given to the actual authors as much as possible. Enjoy~

he'll call just to hear your voice. If he wants you, he'll say it. And if he cares, he'll show it. If he has a thought about you, it will come out of his mouth.

If you are on his mind non stop, he will do anything he can just to see you. If he truly likes you, he won't let anything get in the way and fight back just to keep you in his arms.

If not, he's not worth your time because you're obviously not worth his.

Hedge of God's will

Took us three years of dating to find a communication style that works for us. Love ain't (hate that word) for kids, y'all. You gotta find that balance between "not about to let nobody play me" and "I'm fighting for this because it's what I want." It's a fine line to walk, but it's there.
