When God created woman

When God created woman he was working late on the 6th day.

An angel came by and asked, "Why spend so much time on her?"

The Lord answered, "Have you seen all the specifications I have to meet to shape her?

She must function in all kinds of situations.

She must be able to embrace several kids at the same time.

Have a hug that can heal anything from a bruised knee to a broken heart.

She must do all this with only two hands.

She cures herself when sick and can work 18 hours a day."

The angel was impressed, "Just two hands...impossible!

And this is the standard model?"

The angel came closer and touched the woman.

"But you have made her so soft, Lord."

"She is soft," said the Lord.

"But I have made her strong. You can't imagine what she can endure and overcome."

"Can she think?" the angel asked.

The Lord answered, "Not only can she think, she can reason and negotiate."

The angel touched her cheeks.

"Lord, it seems like this creation is leaking! You have put too many burdens on her."

"She is not leaking...it is a tear!" the Lord corrected the angel.

"What's it for?" asked the angel.

The Lord said, "Tears are her way of expressing her grief, her doubts, her love, her loneliness, her suffering and her pride."

This made a big impression on the angel. "Lord, you are a genius. You thought of everything. A woman is indeed marvelous!"

The Lord said, "Indeed she is."

She has strength that amazes a man.

She can handle trouble and carry heavy burdens.

She holds happiness, love and opinions.

She smiles when she feels like screaming.

She sings when she feels like crying.

She cries when happy and laughs when afraid.

She fights for what she believes in.

Her love is unconditional.

Her heart is broken when a next-of-kin or a friend dies but she finds strength to get on with life."

The angel asked, "So is she a perfect being?"

The Lord replied, "No, she just has one drawback...she often forgets what she is worth."

Do not lean on your own understanding, but acknowledge Me in all that you do. Do not make a plan and expect Me to make it happen, but rather wait, empty yourself, and I will bring about the plan for success. Do not run ahead, but rather be still and wait on Me. Many times in the past a great blessing was to come your way but you moved before it could come. Be patient and seek My righteousness and walk in My presence, hear My voice, and wait for my direction. I have an awesome plan for you in the ministry I have called you to. Soon it shall manifest.

Still possess

Battle plan

God said no

I asked God to take away my habit.

I asked God to make my handicapped child whole.

God said, No.

His spirit is whole, his body is only temporary.

I asked God to grant me patience.

God said, No.

Patience is a byproduct of tribulations;

it isn't granted, it is learned.

I asked God to give me happiness.

God said, No.

I give you blessings;

Happiness is up to you.

I asked God to spare me pain.

God said, No.

Suffering draws you apart from worldly cares and bring you closer to Me.

I asked God to make my spirit grow.

God said, No.

You must grow on your own, but I will prune you to make you fruitful.

I asked God for all things that I might enjoy life.

God said, No.

I will give you life, so that you may enjoy all things.

I asked God to help me LOVE others, as much as He loves me.

God said...Ahhhh, finally you have the idea.

THIS DAY IS YOURS DON'T THROW IT AWAY

Prayerlessness

Prayerlessness is almost always a humility 

issue. We'd like to believe that we don't

pray because of busyness or that we just

lack discipline and need to "do better".

At the end of the day though, we're just a

proud bunch. Pride deludes us into

provide comfort. Our intellect and 

ambition made us successful. But in

fact, everything you are and everything

you have is because God rains on the

just and unjust. So then, to become

more prayerful, we have to be honest.

6. He doesn't intentionally hurt you

Enjoy it

When things are going good in

your life, let it. Don't worry about

how long this will last. Don't brush

it off. Don't sabotage it. Enjoy it.

Blessed beyond measure

When you take on a burden that belongs to another your Father in heaven will watch your back. Work that you do for those who can not pay will not go unrewarded. When you feed those that hunger you give them hope for tomorrow. Those that think only of themselves will be alone in the day of trouble, but those that share what they have will always have an abundance. He who hears the Lord shall always find his way, and he who walks in His presence shall not go without.

Tolerate

 Client: Why is that the more I heal, the less I am able to tolerate in my life? I feel like I have lost an ability I used to have.

God goes the distance with you.

Don't ever let the Enemy say that if God was really with you, then your circumstances would be different.

When the situation seems to be eroding from under our feet, the Enemy always arrives with the same speech: "If God really loved you, He would do something different for you. Your circumstances would be better now."

No. God always loves you. God is always for you, God always has a plan. And even in whatever situation you might be facing, God is always with you. He's with you the entire time. And this changes your outlook to know that almighty God is in every circumstance with you.

A disservice is done by any brand of Christianity that promises there's always going to be a better road ahead, or insists that your circumstances will change or claims everything is going to work out right and all your wildest dreams will come true every time. No, we live on a broken planet. We're in a fight for our lives in a dying world. And we follow a Savior who was crucified in the middle of it all.

Sometimes our circumstances don't add up to the dream we have envisioned, but that never means God isn't with us. Look at Hebrews 13:5, just one of the places where God promises, "I will never leave you nor forsake you."

That truth alone--God never leaves us or forsakes us--that's a game changer.

Healing

I knew I was healing when I started to notice how badly I was doing. I knew I was healing when instead of "forgetting to eat" I could recognize that I just didn't have an appetite. I knew I was healing when I realized I wasn't going to sleep because I was tired in a way that sleep could actually fix but because I just needed a break. I knew I was healing when I became aware of myself, and my needs that were going unmet. Healing is like waking up in a cold sweat. Like coming up for air just before you pass out. Healing starts in the same place that everything else does. A small seed, planted in your mind, with roots that grow until you can't ignore it any longer. Until you want more, 

until discomfort is more desirable than numbness.
