Not giving up

 From Narcissistic Abuse is Real

Honestly,

she's just waiting for that one person to sit her
down, look her in the eyes and say,

"I'm not giving up on you. You're worth it. I'm
going to learn how to love you right, and I'm not
going anywhere."

And actually mean it for once.

Because she's heard words before. She's been
promised forever by people who couldn't even
stay for a season. She's been shown affection that
faded the moment things got hard. So now, she
doesn't just listen...she watches. She pays
attention to actions, consistency, effort.

She's not asking for perfection. She's not
expecting a fairytale. She just wants something
real. Someone who doesn't run when things get
uncomfortable. Someone who stays when it's
easier to leave. Someone who chooses her, even
on the days she's hard to understand.

She's tired of temporary people with permanent
words. Tired of being strong all the time. Deep
down, she just wants to feel safe enough to let her
guard down without the fear of being hurt again.

And when she finally meets someone who means
those words, who proves them through actions,
not just promises...she won't need convincing.

She'll feel it.

Honestly,
she's just waiting for that one
person to sit her down, look at
her in the eyes and say,
"I'm not giving up on you. You're
worth it. I'm going to learn how to
love you right, and I'm not going
anywhere.
And actually mean it for once.
