She knew

 She knew he wasn't good for her but...

She stayed because she needed to be sure.

Because part of her still believed that if she

just loved harder, showed up more, held on

tighter...maybe things would change. Maybe

HE would change. She needed to know that

she had given it everything. And she did. But

all she got in return was inconsistency, empty

promises, and effort that never matched hers.
