Broken Crayons
He says, "wait."
We ask "how long?"
He says, "I have something better."
We say, "but it hurts."
He says, "My plan is for you."
We say, "I don't feel it."
The problem is -
we use broken crayons
to draw the picture of
what we think our life
should look like and hold
it up to a God who formed
mountains from His own
breath.
