Ask yourself

 From Divorce Lawyer Denise

YOU START DETACHING FROM AN AVOIDANT
THE MOMENT YOU ASK YOURSELF THIS:

Is this how I want to be loved for the rest of my life?

Or would you rather be with someone who
chooses you every day? Someone whose
presence doesn't make you anxious about being
left.

Someone who listens to your needs instead of
running from them...Who tries to meet you
halfway instead of creating distance when things
get uncomfortable.

A partner who stays, even during conflict. Who
doesn't disappear when emotions get intense, but
remains present and engaged.

Someone who thinks about how their actions
affect you. And who is willing to take responsibility
when something hurts, instead of avoiding it.

A relationship where you can speak freely without fear.

Where you don't have to walk on eggshells or
constantly worry that saying the wrong thing will
push them away.

A love where disagreements are moments for
understanding and growth. Not reasons to shut
down, leave, or turn the relationship into a power
struggle.

Someone who includes you in their life and future.

Who builds with you instead of keeping you at a
distance while you wait.
