This is a 30-year-old chick flick. I will probably write more about it at another time, but I wanted to record a quote from the movie from Shelby, a character who ends up dying. She had health issues and was told she shouldn't try to get pregnant because of the risk to her health. She did anyway, and that is what ultimately wore her body down.
Here it is: "I would rather have 30 minutes of wonderful than a lifetime of nothing special."
I was thinking about this last night and realized that it could go both ways. I was originally thinking about it from your perspective that you would rather have the time that you had the way it was compared to years and years of an ordinary life (although I don't see how that could be possible for anything about you to be ordinary). I then thought those amazing 18 years with you that I had are more valuable to me than someone who had an ordinary kid for years and years and years. That didn't quite come out the way I wanted it to, but hopefully you get the idea! Love you!
I thought of a way to explain it: "I would rather have 18 years of wonderful than a lifetime of nothing special."
