I'm going to test myself to see if I remember what I mean by this title :)
I'm back after two days since I wrote this title and I actually remember what I meant by it! The past few weeks have been extra crazy with remodeling being done in the kitchen. I haven't been able to cook as a result because the oven has been everywhere, even the microwave, etc.
Now that everything is done and back in some form of working order, I have to get in the habit of cooking again. I was trying to decide what to make and decided to just grab the ingredients for spaghetti at the store when I was there for some other things. It's a relatively easy and cheap meal, but everyone likes it and we have enjoyed it the past few nights. Since then, I have picked up a pork roast which was on sale at Busch's which I am going to tackle this weekend.
I remember making spaghetti as the first meal on the farm and the first meal when we moved into Canterbury Dr. It's something easy to make and familiar to me. It's a starting point. I chose to make it again as a starting point to get into cooking again.
What I wanted to say about this, is when you have to start doing something again that you haven't done for a while, a good plan is to start with something easy and you already know and build from there. Start with something that is almost a no-brainer. I am trying (unsuccessfully) to tie this into grief. I might have to think about this some more.
I don't really like how this turned out, but I might keep it anyway.
