Betrayed
Dear God, I do not ask for revenge
for the betrayal I have endured. I
only ask for a strong heart to keep
standing when the trust I built has
suddenly fallen apart.
If he is still hiding lies, bring the truth
into the light. And if I must let go,
guide my step so that I can walk
away without losing my dignity.
Teach me to accept reality witout
allowing the wounds to turn me into
a person filled with hatred. Let my
tears become prayers, and let every
pain I feel today become a path
toward the peace You have
prepared for me.
