Gain

 Someone asked me,
"What do you gain from loving people the

way you do?" And I sat with that for a

second. Because the truth is, I'm not doing

it for something in return. I do it because

it's natural for me to care, to notice, to pour

into people I value. If it's not reciprocated,

I learn where to place my energy, but I

don't regret being genuine.
