By David Baugh
The devil doesn't need to destroy your life.
He just needs to convince you that nothing is
changing.
That your prayers aren't working.
That your efforts don't matter.
That your obedience is pointless.
That your waiting is wasted.
Because discouragement has stopped more
people than failure ever has.
Think about it.
A seed can sit underground for weeks before
anything appears on the surface.
To an outside observer, nothing is happening.
No growth.
No progress.
No breakthrough.
But underneath the soil, everything is changing.
Roots are forming.
Strength is developing.
Life is preparing to emerge.
Many of us quit because we mistake invisible
progress for no progress.
We assume that because we can't see it, God isn't
doing it.
But some of God's greatest work happens
beneath the surface.
In the hidden places.
In the waiting seasons.
In the moments when you feel forgotten.
The enemy wants you to judge God's faithfulness
by what you can currently see.
Faith asks you to trust what God is doing even
when you can't.
So if you're tired...
Keep praying.
If you're discouraged...
Keep trusting.
If you're waiting...
Keep believing.
Because just because you can't see growth today
doesn't mean God isn't growing something.
The roots always come before the fruit.
And one day you'll realize that what felt like a
season of nothing was actually a season of
preparation.
Don't quit.
God is doing more than you can see.
"Let us not become weary in doing good, for at
the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not
give up."
~Galatians 6:9
