Beth Moore

Beth Moore is AMAZING! I lover her. Went to see her last weekend with a group of ladies. Here are my notes from the day.

#3: God has an unavoidable affinity for mystery
there are things we will never be able to figure out in this life
mystery is part of His holiness
**there are certain things we cannot know about God**
cannot be known by human mind
can't even utter
far above anything our finite minds can master
we want/love to discover
-hidden affinities
God's day-takes from darkness to light

knowing that some things can't be known
Two debilitating ways tempted to fill in the blanks:
1. God is mean
2. My life is meaningless
depression
God's speech to Job
sense of meaninglessness
Blessed are you when you need Me because you'll get Me
He is there
Loss of vision-art of seeing things invisible
Pattern
1. Initial vision-first starts
2. Unwanted vision-don't want to see
when we see in the mirror darkness
not even God can use this mess
Gen. 3:4
eyes will be opened
v.7 saw their nakedness
3. Loss of vision
all of us have calling
revision
stand steadfast in your God
will always transcend
it's always harder but always more meaningful
to see people differently
#4:  Our security in the mystery is knowing God's mystery revealed
I know Who He is
when don't know where God is, remember Who He is
God has no dark side

Jesus loves the real me
God and Jesus same
there's a certainty of mystery
mystery to certainty
-certain of God we have never laid eyes on
I know the One in whom I believe

Session 3
Ephesians 5
fruit of light
every day things
He gives His beloved sleep

#5:  No mystery fascinates the unbeliever more than the believer's joy
when they see our joy in difficulties
get serious about fighting for our joy
