Similar situation

This was on my cousin's Facebook page who is from Wichita. It's about a girl named Tess Smith who had a GoFundMe page set up for her after an accident. I checked the update today, and she did die. This made me wonder if I every wrote down the story from your GoFundMe page. I will have to check. That website is so wonderful. It helped us with your Haiti trip and your accident.

(The song Forever Young by the Canadian Tenors just came on Pandora)

Tessa is a beautiful girl with the most contagious smile. She is loved by so many family and friends and is being wrapped in prayer here in Colorado. Tess was involved in a skiing accident and is unresponsive. Medically there is nothing more they can do. We are relying on God and prayers as she prepares to fight this battle on her own without the aid of life support. We would like to help the family with the medical and travel expenses they have and will incur. Tess is currently being treated at the Children's Hospital in Aurora, CO. If God chooses to take Tess as his angel in the coming hours, Tess will need to come home to Wichita. If we receive the miracle we have been praying for, she will have additional medical expenses to make her healthy again...There is no one like Tess. She is so genuine, sweet, beautiful, and the world's best friend. We continue to pray for her miracle and know she is God's child and He will answer our prayers in His way.

Update:  On behalf of the Smith family we would like to thank everyone for all the prayers for Tess. We know she was wrapped in prayers and love since the moment this happened. It is not that God did not hear our prayers or answer them. God had a bigger plan for Tess. He heard and answered in ways we might not understand but we have to believe He knew what was best for our sweet Tess. She will forever be loved and remembered by her friends and family. She has touched so many lives in her short 15 years and for that, we are forever grateful. The impact of her life will be felt for years to come. Please continue to pray for her precious family. The pain they are in is unimaginable. Pray for the doctors as they prepare Tess to be able to save the lives of up to 8 people, as her family chose for her to be an organ donor. Pray for her friends as they figure out how to live life without their buddy...We love her and will miss her more than words could explain.

There was another update today (Update 8). I wish GoFundMe would show the in-between updates. Anyway, it's amazing how similar the situation is to yours. Here are some excerpts from Update 8.

Today around 9:15 we will see Tess for the last time. She is being prepared for surgery so she can be a miracle to others and provide her organs to those in need. While we now know our Tess has been gone since Sunday evening, her body has been kept alive in order for her to be able to save the lives of others. We have been able to see her sweet face for the last 36 hours and even knowing Tess is not with us, being able to touch her and kiss her has allowed a tiny bit of "maybe" to remain. When they take her this morning she will not return.
