Somebody somewhere

WHAT YOU HAVE

Somebody somewhere would love your home,

your car,

your bank balance,

your nose,

your figure.

Somebody somewhere looks at you and thinks their life would be perfect, 

if they could just have what you have.

Meanwhile, you look at someone else and think the same.

If we let every one of us swap something they didn't like, 

with someone else,

would we all be happy?

I don't think so.

We would find something else, someone else, to covet.

That's just the human way.

Maybe the solution then, is to look at what we do have with fresh eyes.

As though watching from afar.

Maybe then we would realize how blessed every one of us is.

I say it a lot and I won't stop,

if you must change anything,

change the way you see, my friend,

change the way you see.
