Wagner Rd.

I decided to look up pictures of your accident again because I saw a horrific accident on annarbor.com and I wanted to compare how mangled your car was in the front to the one in the story I saw. The other one was much worse because the car went the wrong way at full speed on a highway at 4 am and hit a semi-truck head on. The damage to the semi-truck was horrible too-I never saw that much damage to a truck. Needless to say, the two people in the car going the wrong way were killed. You couldn't even tell what was what on the car.

Anyway, when I was looking at pictures of your accident, I tried to zoom in on it as usual to try to see stuff, and whenever I do that, it's very frustrating because it jumps around and it's hard to focus on anything. When I was doing this, the screen ended up on some of the comments that I never read underneath the story. Here is some information that supports my concern about the "shift" in the road that occurs in the other lane in that spot on the road/hill and what others said about it: (Note: Bob London mentioned this as well here and there)

arthguinness:  That's not very far from where that mother of 5(?) kids tragically crashed a few years back. The road is fairly straight, but there's the slightest kink, maybe 1 or 2 degrees somewhere around the hill there, and it's not difficult to drift towards the center line.

(Comment from reporter that the lady in that crash was texting and driving)

8FlyingMonkees:  That'll do it. More accidents happen that way. From the picture it looks like the two (I added emphasis) got too near to the middle. Can't wait to read the MSP account.

Oldtimer67:  Slight kink on Wagner? I think you are mistaken, there is one on Liberty.

arthguinness: Drive it or look at a map. There's a very slight kink. As I said, only 1 or 2 degrees.

(Other back and forth about it)
It's actually two slight kinks that counteract with each other.

Just drove it yesterday. Right as you crest the hill, you better not be driving straight, because you will go directly into the other lane.

My comments here: This "kink" is in the other lane. This would make more sense of it being your fault if the kink was on your side, but it's not. It's on his side.

Hope thinks there's something to this too. Actually, she thinks that it wasn't your fault at all. Whenever we bring this up to Dad when we are driving that way on Wagner, he always reiterates that the police and the attorney said that the accident happened in the truck driver's lane so that means it was your fault. How do they know that? The cars bounced off each other. It wasn't a head-on crash, it was an off-set crash. It's different and actually deadlier because there is nothing to protect the driver from the impact, like the front and hood of the car.

I made a little diagram and things still don't add up to me. Sure, maybe you were close to the line and the truck was too, and that's all it took for the collision to occur. Things just don't make sense from the police report either-like the guy from Tippins' who said he had to move over because you were in his lane. You couldn't have been that far over to hit the truck the way you did. I still can't believe that Tippins' guy left the scene after he saw the collision in his rear view mirror. Why would anyone lie or make up a story? Who are they trying to protect? Is it easier to blame you because you died anyway? Even so, that has to mean something. Somebody knows more and it's not important I guess because nobody seems to care.

I just want to know what happened and clear your name. I know people think that you were on your phone, etc. You were a good driver and you traveled that road so many times. This part of it really bothers me.
