The Soft Work of Repair
Repair is not dramatic.
It looks like two people sitting on the edge of a bed
with tired eyes and softer voices,
saying, "I heard you," "I get it now,"
"Here's how I'll do better."
It's mundane, repetitive, humble -
and its holy.
That's how love survives the weather.
