Not in this battle alone

When I was trying to find that Maya Angelou quote that I used in the previous post (it was from Getting Your Breath Back...) I mistakenly entered the search words When Life Knocks the Breath out of You and a story popped up by Genevieve Y Georget about how the person who gets her coffee every morning thinks that her life is golden, but she only sees one part of it. The author went on to say how hard things were for her at that time (she just had a miscarriage) and listed many of her insecurities. Here are some lines from her story.

Scars tell stories. Scars mean survival. Scars mean you showed up for the fight instead of running from it.

Because life requires guts...it requires bravery...and it requires vulnerability...

...,carry on, dear soldier...

You're not in this battle alone.
