Written about 5 missionaries killed in Ecuador in 1965:
Through gates of splendor five men came,
And bowed before God's throne.
By martyred death in Jesus' name,
Forever welcomed home.
Upon a hostile riverside
In darkest Ecuador,
Those godly missionaries died
For a gospel open door.
And yet in God's eternal plan
His name was glorified.
The killers and the martyrs stand
And worship side by side.
For as those men as martyrs fell,
God's Spirit moved His breath.
So they in heaven gladly dwell
With some who caused their death!
He is no fool who gives away
That which he cannot keep,
To gain reward through endless day,
And precious souls to reap.
