Not to marry

If you told a woman not to marry a man you suspected is abusive, why would she listen to you if:

1. You also told her not to trust her intuition.
2. You also raised her to believe that she had to be married by a certain age.
3. You also raised her to believe that being a wife and mother will make her successful.
4. You trained her to believe that men lead and women submit.
5. You taught her not to trust her gut.
6. You taught her to look for a "strong leader" for a husband.
7. You told her that her heart is deceitfully wicked.
8. You told her to believe that she is totally depraved.
9. You preach that women cannot have callings and they are functional supporters of a husband's calling
10. You preached that women have to respect husbands in order to get the love they need.
11. You did not teach her self-respect.
