Such love

I jotted this down a few days ago and it's from one of the daily readings from Days of Praise.

The word "contemned" was in it. I looked it up. It means to treat or regard with contempt.

Here's the part I liked.

Not even the waters of a great flood could quench such love, nor all the possessions of a wealthy king ever purchase it. It is true eternal love, bought by the blood of the Bridegroom and received with undying faith by His beloved bride.
