"We confess to Thee, O Lord, that Thy Word often lurks on our shelves, and is imprisoned by the limitations of our knowledge; that it seems to seldom move us to words of love and compassion and into action; and that we fail to grasp the sword of Thy Spirit which is Thy Word, to change us as Thou art always calling us. For our sins of timidity and slothfulness we ask Thy pardon, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen."
